How to make peppermint candy earrings

Happy new year everyone!

I wanted to make something sweet and cute to celebrate this new year. I present to you peppermint candy earrings!

Materials needed:

  • DMC crochet thread no: 80 ( White, Red)
  • 0.50 mm hook (Clover brand)
  • Swarovski crystal 6mm – white
  • Needle
  • Jump ring
  • T-pin
  • Earring hook base
  • Scissors
  • Pliers ( flat , cutting, and round)

Crochet Pattern:

We will be making red and white strips to make these earrings.

Red strip:

  • CH 20 + CH 2 ( base for DC)
  • 1 DC in every chain, starting in third chain from the hook (Total: 20 DC)
  • Fasten off and trim the ends

White strip:

  • CH 25 + CH 2 (base for DC)
  • 1 DC in every chain, starting in third chain from the ok (Total: 25 DC)
  • Fasten off and trim the ends
Making Candy

Making candy:

  • Place the white strip over the red strip
  • Roll them together, you will have a alternative red and white swirls
  • Sew the roll tightly using needle and thread
After sewing

Making earrings:

  • Insert swarovski crystal into the T-pin
  • Pass it through the candy we have made
  • Use flat nose pliers to bend the excess T-pin
  • Cut the excess with cutter and use round pliers to make a loop
  • Open the jump ring
  • Insert the candy charm and hook base
  • Your earring is ready!
